The 2 day FRCPath Part 2 Revision Course prepares trainees for the Exam. This is a unique course giving trainees that all important pre-exam Mock (under exam conditions) with the papers individually marked and scored in line with the actual exam.

If this will be you second (or more) attempt at the exam, we still recommend that you do the mock exam on Day 1 as you will get personalised feedback.
Places for the course are limited to 12 candidates.
The course speakers have knowledge of the Royal College exam - some of them are examiners, and all are experienced teachers.

Dr Iskander H. Chaudhry – Course Director
Dr Iskander H. Chaudhry is a consultant histopathologist specialising in Skin Pathology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. He has varied experience working at St James’ Hospital, Stepping Hill Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary as a Skin and Soft Tissue Pathologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Manchester University.
He graduated from Manchester’s School of Medicine in 1996 and then embarked on a career in Pathology, training in the Mersey Deanery. In 2004 is was awarded a Fellowship at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology and trained as a dermatopathologist under Dr Eduardo Calonje and Dr Alistair Robson. In 2005, he received a visiting Fellowship to Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA for 3 months and trained under the supervision of Professor Martin Mihm Jr. He has an active role in teaching and is a founding member and on the organising committee of the London Dermatopathology Symposium, which is an International Scientific and Clinical Pathology meeting running in its 8th year.
Dr Mohamed A Ben-Gashir
Dr Mohamed Ben-Gashir has just completed his training in histopathology and he is acting-up as consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals including the dermatopathology department at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology. He graduated from Medical School in 1990, Tripoli University, Libya. In 1995, he came to the United Kingdom to undertake a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology organised by the UMDS at the time (King’s College London now) and subsequently research fellow at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London. Dr Ben-Gashir has been awarded a PhD from the University of London for his work on Childhood atopic dermatitis – Risk factors and impact on quality of life. He has presented his work at national and international meetings and he won the prize for best presentation and best paper at the British Society for Paediatric Dermatology (BSPD) during the 81st annual meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists, Cardiff, July 2001. He has published a number of original papers and review articles in national and international journals.
